HERE’S HOW YOU CAN HELP DELIVER NOURISHMENT AND LOVE EVERYDAY AS A MEALS ON WHEELS VOLUNTEER.

Bloomington Meals on Wheels could not exist without our dedicated volunteers and generous donors. Both help keep the cost of our program affordable for our clients.

If you can volunteer over the noon hour once a month to deliver meals, please let us know. Download the volunteer application, agreement form and confidentiality form on the top right hand side of this page. Email to blm-mow@iuhealth.org or mail it to PO Box 1149, 727 West First St, Bloomington, IN 47402.

Volunteers use their own vehicles to deliver meals and usually work in pairs. Volunteers must have a valid driver’s license and state mandated liability insurance on the vehicle they will use to deliver the meals. Each route takes approximately 60 minutes to complete.

Need more info on becoming a volunteer? Email us at blm-mow@iuhealth.org or call us at 355-8224.

Meals on Wheels offers me an opportunity to contribute to the community in a way that works with my lifestyle.  Once or twice a month for a couple of hours is an ideal way for me to contribute without feeling like I have to give up other important aspects of my life. ” ~ Denise, 3-year volunteer  ”

We have enjoyed our sixteen years delivering Meals on Wheels. What a wonderful feeling knowing you are helping someone have a better day.”   ~Charlie & Mary

“I was looking for someway to give back to the community and being a car guy, my wife said, how about Meals on Wheels? So here I am a couple of years later, enjoying the camaraderie and the satisfaction of providing a much needed service.”~Tucker M., 2-year volunteer
