SPECIAL PROGRAM ANNOUNCEMENT:
We are thrilled to announce a special program designed to support individuals living with diabetes. For eight weeks, participants will receive expertly crafted recipes and all the necessary ingredients to prepare delicious, diabetic-friendly meals at home, all created by a registered dietitian nutritionist. The first meal kit will be delivered, Thursday March 6, 2025. Register now!
Here’s how it works:
Weekly Meal Kits: Enjoy a new recipe each week, complete with ingredients and easy-to-follow instructions.
Feedback: After preparing your meal, share your experience by completing a short survey to help us improve our program.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must reside within the city limits of Bloomington, Indiana.
- Must be homebound due to health issues or lack transportation to food pantries or Community Kitchen when they are open.
- Have a need or interest in preparing diabetic-friendly meals.
- Prepare one meal each week followed by completing a short survey.

Groceries To Go Program Details
Meals on Wheels is excited to announce the launch of our new program, Groceries to Go. Groceries to Go is essentially a food pantry delivery service. Participants may place orders online or by phone for a weekly delivery. There are no income or age requirements for this program. The following requirements do apply:
1. Must live within Bloomington, Indiana city limits. We do not deliver outside of Bloomington, Indiana.
2. Orders must be placed by 1:00 pm on Monday for delivery on Thursday between 10:00 am and 12:30 pm. Orders placed after 1:00 pm on Monday will be held for the following week.
3. One order per household per week.
4. If the participant orders refrigerated or frozen items, they must be home at the time of delivery.
5. Weekly deliveries will be limited to 100 households. Orders will be filled in the order they were received, up to the 1:00 pm Monday deadline for the week.
Food is acquired from Hoosier Hills Food Bank and donations from individuals. Weekly availability of items will vary. Volunteers pack and deliver grocery bags.
